Kumihimo

I love very much the oriental knotting art: the chinese button knot is simply and useful, and i have no words to describe the beauty of the kumihimo. The kumihimo (that's a braiding art, but with the braids you can make a lot of marvellous knots ^^) is always different, you can use a lot of materials and there is no limit to your imagination!

I haven't a takadai, nor a marudai, nor the kumihimo disk, but i'm so fascinated that i cut a round of heavy paper and made myself my kumihimo disk. I can't braid the difficult patterns, but i have some easy patterns, a lot of coloured cotton and i enjoy so much seeing the cord growing between my hands ^^
